Upskilling Service

Whilst we all know the benefits of developing our workforce, few of us have the time to understand what training will benefit our staff the most, who are the best providers, and what funding may be available to help support staff training & development.

The Motorsport Academy provides a dedicated upskilling service for all employers in the UK motorsport and performance engineering sectors.  We give advice and guidance on the best workforce development solutions for your business and introduce you to the most appropriate providers.  We will also advise on whether there is any funding which may be available to support your ideal programme.

The best for your business…We aim to take away from you the burden of organising the most appropriate training for your staff.  We’ll visit you at your premises, at a convenient time, to listen to your needs, and then we’ll discuss the most suitable options with you.  This will be done with your individual business circumstances in mind, including operational constraints such as shift patterns or the need for in-house delivery.

Nationally and industry-recognised programmes…
The training and skills development solutions that the Motorsport Academy will draw from will include nationally and industry-recognised programmes, as well as accredited qualifications and awards from professional bodies.  Established vocational qualifications often already have funding streams attached to them.

Quality of provision... Where practical, only those providers that have performed well during government inspection or external and professional body audits will be recommended, in order to ensure the highest standards and quality of provision.  The Motorsport Academy also operates a unique Employer Recognition Scheme for motorsport education and training providers.  The scheme is designed to give employers reassurance that a Motorsport Academy UK Recognised Educator or Trainer is able to deliver the required skills and attributes needed by your staff.

Funding… We will seek every opportunity to find programmes that are government funded.  Many programmes attract 100% government funding, and programmes can also be developed around funding criteria.  The Motorsport Academy currently has access to some £20m of funding for training across the UK, and we’ll help you to find out what funding support you may be entitled to.

Delivery… We encourage employers to take a lifelong learning approach to upskilling their workforce.  We will also encourage collaborations by groups of employers where it will benefit them.  This can open more skills development and training opportunities, particularly where a larger number of learners can make the delivery of a particular rare or specialist application more feasible.  The Motorsport Academy will manage your entire requirement for the right training to be delivered, at the right location, at the right time.
