Race Retro

Race Retro 2008 is now less than 5 weeks away, but there’s still plenty of time to take advantage of the offers for educators and students – made available through the Motorsport Academy’s partnership with International Historic Motorsport Services Limited.

Race Retro brings together manyparticipants in historic motorsport in the UK and in Europe to one central venue.  For the second year running there will be an Education Zone featuring the Motorsport Academy supporting a cluster of educators and trainers.  The purpose is to provide a forum for parents and prospective students to learn about careers and education in historic motorsport, and for the employers present to engage with colleges, universities and independent trainers in the upskilling of their workforce and to find their future employees.

Nine exhibition spaces are being made available to education and training organisations in Hall 1, next to the Motorsport Academy’s 58 square metre stand.  The stands are J16, J20, I20, I22, I38 and I40 plus H34, H36 and H38 – these are available at a special rate of £50 +VAT per square metre, including carpets and shell scheme.  The Motorsport Academy will also provide a complimentary meeting and refreshment area for educators and students on its stand throughout the show - a chance to rest weary legs and to talk to potential students and parents, and employer partners.

This is a value for money opportunity for colleges and universities to put themselves in front of 20,000 visitors and 440 classic and historic motorsport companies, event organisers and clubs – a potential source of student work placements.  To download the floorplan click here and for the booking form click here or contact Alex Hope on 07791 659225, email alex.hope@motorsportacademy.org

Once again, there is a substantial discount on offer for students who wish to attend the Race Retro as visitors – a must if they want to see classic motorsport and its supporting industry in the flesh.  We hope that you will encourage all your students to attend, particularly those who are looking for jobs, work experience, and voluntary work, or who are undertaking college projects in classic motorsport.

Advance ticket bookings for each day are available at £15 each, a discount of £10 off face value for students.  This discount is only available for advance student bookings via www.info@motorsportacademy.org
