Finding the right peopleThe Academy helps motorsport businesses find and nurture the talent crucial to the success of the industry. Working closely with employers and educators, we aim to ensure that there is a continuing flow of appropriately skilled recruits capable of enhancing the success of the businesses they join. Specific initiatives targeted towards finding the right people include: The Motorsport Academy Jobs BoardProvides the facility for employers to post live job vacancies and search our online database for suitable candidates. Recruitment ServicesWe can assist with any element of the recruitment process from helping to design job descriptions, adverts and interview frameworks, or practical support with finding, screening or interviewing candidates and additional services, such as psychometric testing. We can also work with you to take away time-consuming routine administration tasks, by managing communications between your company and job applicants. For all on-site service options, an individual consultation is included with one of our experienced consultants to explore the range of available options and agree a solution to suit your needs. Developing world-class talentGiven the strong and valuable tradition within the industry of training staff ‘on-the-job’, the Academy seeks to complement this by linking with relevant continuous professional development opportunities, as well as finding job placements for students. ApprenticeshipsTo help your business make the most of apprentices and available programmes, we will be reviewing the current levels of provision with the aim of ensuring availability of programmes to meet the future needs of the industry, which offer the relevance and flexibility you and your trainees require. Web-based education and training portalThis contains details of the latest education and training programmes, covering the full offering of postgraduate, undergraduate, vocational, technician, work-based learning, management and volunteer programmes. Learners can review the full offering of motorsport based courses in the UK and choose the one that is right for them, while the Motorsport Academy can also help sign-post employers and their learners to the most appropriate education and training programmes. HR SeminarsIf you, or someone in your organisation is responsible for keeping up to date with the changes in Employment Law, our forthcoming bi-annual workshops may provide you with the perfect solution. Our workshops will be run by practising legal experts and are aimed at providing a bite-size, practical overview of how to interpret and action any forthcoming changes in legislation. On-site HR healthcheckTo ensure your organisation stays on the right side of Employment Law, our experienced Consultants offer an on-site service to ensure you have adequate processes in place to meet your requirements as an employer, promoting best working practices and minimising the risk of litigation. Building links with educatorsThe pace of development in motorsport requires recruits who can ‘hit the ground running’, therefore we aim to work closely with educators and employers to ensure that the courses on offer develop learners with the skills needed by business and continue to evolve alongside the industry. Qualifications and standards developmentBy working with employers, educators, sector skills councils and awarding bodies, we will be driving the development and application of National Occupational Standards for levels 4 and 5, ensuring the recognition and acceptance of qualifications throughout the curriculum. Recognition scheme for educators and trainersTo promote and develop the achievement of educators that are successfully working to develop students with the skills, knowledge and approach valued by employers, we aim to provide a fair and transparent recognition scheme, encouraging participation and feedback from employers and individuals who have experienced the programmes first-hand. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)If you have a strategic need to develop new aspects of your business or evolve new products, then you may want to find out more about the work we are doing around KTPs. KTPs offer the motorsport industry access to the talent and research produced by our colleges and universities and we plan to provide a signposting service to assist companies to find the KTP partner and associates best placed to take forward and implement your ideas. |
