RE: General Help & Information

Hi Oluwasujibomi,

Thanks very much for your post. If you would like to e-mail me your contact details to sam.ranson@motorsportacademy.org I will forward you a trade directory which will enable you to locate further local companies to approach with regards to work experience. We also operate a placements board on this website so it's worth keeping an eye on that to see if anything suitable comes up.

With regards to your request for information about job roles we will shortly be going live with a Motorsport Careers Route Map which will provide all of this information  - so watch this space!

Kind regards

Sam

RE: General Help & Information

Hi,

I'm a 3rd year mechanical engineering student at shefffield uni looking for some summer work experience in motorsport.

I have an active interest in motorsports, currently leading a team in building a race car within the department. However, i have no idea where to look for more experience in a professional environment for summer.

Is there any information of companies recruiting for the summer you could send me?

Cheers

Scott

Hi Scott

I would advise that you keep an eye on the Placements Board on this website www.motorsportacademy.org/careers as all work experience opportunities that we hear of will be posted here.

In the meantime if you have a CV that you can send over to me I will be able to contact you if any employers approach me directly. My email address is amy.kirk@motorsportacademy.org

Many Thanks

RE: General Help & Information

Hi, I'm about to leave high school in May and would like to know should I try and get an apprenticeship now or should I get some experience at a college or work at a garage for a year or 2 to understand the basics and then apply for one. Also should I look into getting a Motorsport Engineering degree if I can't get an apprenticeship and if so where is the best place to go to around the Manchester area?

 Thank you
